BWell Today For Tomorrow, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, pledged to join forces with the Just Ask Prevention Project to help safeguard communities through partnership. BWell Today also presented the Just Ask Prevention Project with a grant to further the reach and effectiveness of its programs. This grant will be used in the implementation of prevention programs in realizing the vision of Just Ask – a world where children are free to achieve their full potential without the threat of being trafficked or exploited.

The Just Ask Prevention is a 501(c)(3) multidisciplinary collaborative team with an unmatched level of expertise in fighting human trafficking and other forms of exploitation. The Just Ask Prevention Project seeks to inoculate communities against the threat of human trafficking, a public health crisis, by implementing youth curriculum, awareness campaigns, and professional training to schools, youth groups, hotels, retail, faith communities, law enforcement, and other front-line professionals in the identification, prevention, and response to human trafficking and other forms of exploitation. Since it was founded in 2013, the Just Ask Prevention Project has trained over 900 professional and community-based organizations in education, prevention, and intervention in suspected cases of exploitation.

Bwell Today For Tomorrow was founded in memory of brother and sister Andrea Saenz and Jacob Blackwell. The organization provides grants and ancillary funding to entities that effectively prevent at-risk lifestyles in adolescents, support mental health activities, and implement wellness in the everyday lives of families needing support…all through the use of hands-on programs and boots on the ground activities.

Warrenton, VA – Human trafficking is a prevalent and growing crime in the United States. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported that they have seen an increase of 846%, nationally, in reports of suspected child sex trafficking. In an effort to combat this injustice, the Just Ask Prevention Project has developed comprehensive prevention programs which are being used and adapted for implementation in the Piedmont region, as well as other parts of the United States in an effort to safeguard those communities from human trafficking and exploitation. On May 31, 2019 BWell Today for Tomorrow hosted a golf tournament to benefit local non-profits, including the Just Ask Prevention Project. Just Ask was honored to participate in the event. The powerful story of Jacob Mark Blackwell, for whom the tournament in named, touched everyone in attendance and humbled those working in the field.
